So, how about that Draft then eh? It might've been rife with far too many 'Wrestler A is staying put on a show they were already on' announcements, but WWE should at least try to pretend they give a damn about the thing. On Friday, the writers flagrantly thumbed noses at their own creation multiple times.

It started in the very first match.

Dakota Kai came out to team with her pals The Kabuki Warriors and fellow heel Tiffany Stratton vs. Bayley, Naomi, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. The problem? Damage CTRL had been drafted to Raw mere days ago. Asuka and Kairi Sane get a pass because they're Women's Tag-Team Champs (for now), but Dakota? Nah.

This is why few take the Draft all that seriously to begin with. WWE don't themselves! Look, if they want to stipulate that the Draft rosters don't kick in until after Backlash, then they need to make that more obvious on TV. This was a slap in the face to anyone who cared about the past week's programming.
