4. Michael Cole's Forgotten Sons Explanation

"Normally on the SmackDown after WrestleMania, we see a superstar or superstars debut from NXT. That's why the Forgotten Sons are here".

Those were Michael Cole's words when explaining why Jaxson Ryker, Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler suddenly showed up on SmackDown. The NXT trio, known collectively as the Forgotten Sons, were introduced as some sort of annual tradition, and that totally knackered their menace.

So, in Cole and WWE's mind, the bad ass biker threesome are only on Friday nights because the calendar demanded it? That's poor. It's even sh*ttier when one looks at how NXT has been presented since last year; the brand is supposedly equal to Raw and SmackDown since jumping to USA Network.

You wouldn't have known that listening to Cole. His bogus explanation for the Sons' arrival on SmackDown made it sound like NXT is still a developmental wing of WWE and only exists to nourish the other shows with talent when they need it.
