5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 8)
3. Another Miss
Score another one for matches ruined by an ad break - Liv Morgan and Sasha Banks are surely capable of having excellent matches together, but this wasn't one of them. In fairness to both, the set up of Morgan coming to SmackDown and fighting for a tag partner who couldn't be bothered to show up was pretty tepid.
It's getting really hard to stomach seeing would-be champs go on a winning run, take the titles and then start to lose match after match too. That's what'll happen to Sasha and Naomi now they're Women's Tag Champions, and it's painful. WWE needs to start thinking of fresher scenarios than that.
Finally, that finish. Oh...that finish.
Banks visibly raised her legs so Liv could pin her after both landed from Sasha's superplex. The whole thing looked rotten, scripted and didn't make Morgan look particularly strong. It was another "surprise" result, and the kind that leaves nobody satisfied.
