5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 27)

2. Is Anybody Watching Her?!

Charlotte Flair will defend her SmackDown Women's Title vs. Sonya Deville on next week's episode of blue brand telly. Adam Pearce made the match official during an insufferable backstage skit with the champ. Serious question: WWE creative, are you watching Flair's segments every week?!

If so, then how can you continue with this unwanted babyface run.

Charlotte came across as an entitled, snotty heel when brushing off Sonya as a threat. Then, she pretty much said she just wants to get rid of Deville by showing her up in-ring next week. Clearly, nobody in the writer's room is paying attention to just how unlikeable Flair's character is. Either that or they don't care.

They better correct this before WrestleMania 39 though, because Charlotte as a baby on the grand stage could bomb big time. The woman who wins that 30-strong Royal Rumble match (Naomi, Rhea Ripley etc) will drop hints about what's happening come 'Mania with Flair - she's likely facing the winner.
