5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 27)

Brock f'n Lesnar hasn't felt that unimportant in a long time.

He was just sort of there on SmackDown, and few were truly surprised to see him (he'd been advertised ahead of time) run in on an otherwise-basic revolving door promo segment. Seeing Brock throw people around is always fun, but he was hidden beneath a ton of filler content here.

Austin Theory, New Day, The Miz and Bobby Lashley all said their piece about the Rumble before Lesnar dropped Bob as expected. Granted, the promo train wasn't awful by any means, but these segments are always a tough sell because fans know what's going to happen after the first few interruptions.

Honestly, it might've been wise to keep Brock separate from everyone else other than Lashley. They didn't really need to verbally joust with others. Also, can we please find another way to hype the Rumble that doesn't involve loads of workers scrapping for no real reason?
