5 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 27)

Ups...

5. The Raiders Take Revenge

This writer is now willing to overlook some of the obvious flaws with WWE's tag-team tournament. Why? Well, The Viking Raiders didn't just slink off into the shadows after losing to the hot new Drew McIntyre and Sheamus tandem (do not call them the 'Banger Bros', and do not Google that).

Erik and Ivar roared back to cost Drew/Sheamus their own place in the tourney.

This, ladies and gents, means we're actually getting a fully-fleshed non-title tag-team feud. No-one can argue with that, 'cause the means the doubles ranks have some life to them beyond The Usos again. That should be celebrated, and so should more upcoming bruising battles between the Vikings and the erm...'Bros'.

Besides, it's not like McIntyre and Sheamus are done when it comes to potentially challenging for the Raw or SmackDown Tag belts. Both will revisit that (another round of matches vs. The Usos sounds great) after they've finished beating the sh*t out of The Raiders.
