5 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (Dec 1)

4. Garrison & Pillman Jr. Lack Colour

Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison scored another squash victory last night, beating Ryzin and Cezar Bononi in a fundamentally sound match, though the team's lack of flavour is making it difficult to invest in them at the moment.

Both wrestlers have personality individually but other than their similar haircuts, there's little tying them together. At the moment, they resemble little more than a thrown-together duo of former enhancement talents with little connective tissue, inside the ring or out, so it's time to work on their look, characters, style, and overall presentation.

Pillman Jr. and Garrison are talented wrestlers and already have some cool spots in their arsenal (including the Doomsday Blockbuster finisher). Still, the team needs a hook beyond "solid wrestlers with long hair."
