The best week yet for the Homegrowns/Outsiders angle (though that "Freelancers" name for the heels has to go) kicked off with a tremendous promo from Ruby Soho that initially threatened to go south before she threaded together the thought process she went through following her Revolution defeat to Jamie Hayter and new stablemate Saraya.
This was "each and every one of you" but she kept the receipts. Highlighting specific matches where fans booed her that were clearly drawn from painful memories, the rationale for her choice after suffering another loss audiences didn't really care about suddenly made great sense.
A decent match with Skye Blue followed, but it existed as an excuse for the promo before it and angle afterwards. Former Soho ally Willow Nightingale arrived to stop the heels beating Blue down after the bell, but Ruby made yet another big choice and decked her too. The heels stood tall, and the spray-paint gimmick was actually effective as an act of cruelty on somebody with Nightingale's obvious popularity.
