5 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Jan 7)

2. No Mo' FOMO For JOMO

John Morrison
WWE

John Morrison's understated return to SmackDown on Friday night confused those that predicted big things for the former mid-2000s midcarder, but Backstage doubled down on the disinterest.

Foreshadowing that he probably won't be a feature near the top of the card, his presence was glossed over here too before the panel moved on to talking about Sheamus and The Usos showing back up.

Your writer is no 'JoMo' fanboy, but was a 'Dirt Sheet' devotee over a decade ago. This was a waste of The Miz as a guest, as much as it was Morrison's return.
