The New Day's light-hearted shenanigans are usually a welcome break on SmackDown, serving as a great way to balance the show and give fans a breather from all those super cereal main event programmes. Their charismatic performances often elevate one-note material, and while their act could undoubtedly use a few new wrinkles, it usually gets over.

Last night was the opposite.

Pancakes were WWE's preferred go-home for The New Day vs. The Bar, and it didn't hit the mark. The popular trio held a class in the ring, promising to reveal their secret techniques, wheeling out one "Mr. Bootyworth" to do so. Comedy is entirely subjective, and unfunnny !*$% followed.

A supplemental Up for those glorious curmudgeons, Sheamus and Cesaro, who once again satiated the audience's inner Jim Cornette by spoiling the "fun," beating The New Day up, trashing the set, and dousing Bootyworth in pancake batter. They are wonderful, even if their pre-beatdown trash talk kinda stunk as well.
