5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (5 Dec - Review)
Downs…
5. Lopsided Triple Threats
There’s no polite way to put it, but if you’re looking at the two women’s triple threat matches, one was decidedly more stacked than the other.
The first one featured Rhea Ripley, Asuka and Bayley, while the second had Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. The earlier match was entertaining and saw Bayley capture yet another ticket to a possible Raw Women’s Championship match.
The second saw Lynch come up short in her quest to get back to the top, derailed by Damage CTRL. Yes, it’s safe to argue that the result of the first match informed the interference in the second to keep Becky away from Bayley, but this now sets up Bliss to topple Bayley, presumably with Lynch getting a receipt next week. And that means Bliss/Bianca Belair, which has the potential to be bang average at best, and at worst sees spooky Alexa make her return.
In reality, all the action is in the people who lost (or likely will lose next week): Rhea sharing a staredown with Becky, and then Lynch and Bayley looking to lock horns in the near future.
