5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (5 Dec - Review)

Ups…

5. Let Them Fight!

Seth Rollins Bobby Lashley

WWE loves its big pull-apart brawls, and Monday night was no exception.

This time, it was Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley who required a dozen producers and referees to separate them after the two babyfaces(?) verbally sparred, with Rollins antagonizing Lashley to get the desired reaction. Seth pointed out that Lashley hasn’t been the same since losing to Brock Lesnar, finally hitting on the notion that Bobby is jealous that Brock has had the career the All Mighty wishes he had.

Rollins was right about one thing in the storyline: If Lashley is indeed preoccupied with Brock, it’ll make it easier for him to topple him next week in their #1 contender’s match. And the brawl itself was fine for what it was. But WWE needs to stop using this as a shortcut for actual storytelling.
