5 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Sept 11)

Downs...

5. The "Brand-To-Brand Invitational"

The Street Profits SmackDown
WWE

Nobody cares about this "Brand-To-Brand Invitational" nonsense.

Michael Cole stumbled his way through an explanation of how WWE's latest excuse to put one show's talent on the other brand works, and it was lame. Cole isn't to blame here though - the idea is silly, and it's one of those things this company does every now and then.

WWE pretend that there's some strict rule sheet governing each brand. In reality, there isn't, and it's hard to stomach the pretence that Raw wrestlers can "only" wrestle on Raw when they start showing up on SmackDown under the guise of some quarterly "Invitational " b*llocks.

Announcers, especially ones as seasoned as Cole, shouldn't look this stupid when telling the story WWE wants them to tell. The fact they're doing this to promote a throwaway Street Profits vs. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura match is even worse.
