5 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dark (May 26)

Downs...

6. Serpentico vs. Christopher Daniels

That this match didn't overstay its welcome almost saved it, but Daniels vs. Serpentico was the kind of bout outlined in this article's introduction: fine, really, but it may as well have been copied and pasted from a handful of others on this week's show, only with a few moves swapped around.

Serpentico was largely competitive until the SoCal Uncensored man started dropping him with suplexes and STOs, escalating from an opening sequence of grappling exchanges and arm drags. He was in the fight for a while before eating an STO and the Best Moonsault Ever for the loss.

A victim of positioning and circumstance, this did nothing to stand out.
