5 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dark (Sep 22)

4. The Butcher and The Blade vs. Puf and Calvin Stewart

The Butcher and The Blade
AEW

This is technically Puf's second AEW appearance, as he featured as a red herring during Kip Sabian's 'Best Man' reveal a couple of weeks ago. He's a fun wrestler and exactly the kind of jovial personality The Butcher and The Blade were born to run through. Man has a dancing donut in his entrance video, for crying out loud.

Butcher and Blade had no time for Puf's good vibes, clobbering him and Calvin Stewart at the bell. Stewart was pulled apart here. Beaten down relentlessly after Puf was lobbed out of the ring, his time in the ring was a complete, one-sided pounding until a dropkick won him enough time to tag Puf in.

Dancing his way out of an attempted German suplex, getting some of his sh*t in, and tagging out, Puf unwittingly doomed his partner, who was hauled in the ring and hit with an immediate Full Death for the fall. Butcher and Blade were great here.
