5 Ups & 6 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jul 5)

4. Pointing Out The Obvious

One major gripe with wrestling in the lead-up to big matches is when one of the participants involved states the obvious, as if we don't know what to expect. That was the case here with Killer Kross, who was seen in a church delivering a sermon about Eddie Edwards.

Kross said that Edwards is now all alone, and that he will pay for his sins come Slammiversary when they meet in a First Blood Match. Well, what else would we be expecting?

We'll start with the first part of that statement. We can already see that Eddie's all alone - Davey Richards, Moose, and Eli Drake are just some of the names who've abandoned him over the years, not to mention the original Kenny (Eddie's beloved kendo stick) being snapped in half. His wife Alisha also appears to be on the brink of leaving her husband if he continues down this dark path.

It was a bit of an odd way to lead this match into the pay-per-view - perhaps they should have put last week's segment (where Eddie was in a church wanting forgiveness for his sins) in here instead?
