5. Is Big Cass Heading Somewhere?

This column wasn’t high on Big Cass’ return last week, and it still isn’t a sure thing, but one positive to emerge Monday night: he kept his word to stack bodies.

Cass emerged after Dragon Lee defeated Dominik Mysterio, attacking the masked luchador and laying him out with East River Crossing. Before he could do any more damage, Je’Von Evans ran down to get revenge from last week.

Evans brawled with the much larger Cass and got the upper hand momentarily, before the seven-footer dropped Je’Von with a big boot.

There really wasn’t much to this appearance other than Cass following through on a promise to stack bodies, which he did efficiently. Cass didn’t mess about or even stop to admire his handiwork, and he looked intimidating while doing it.

As a matter of personal preference, Cass would be better served if he was injecting his unique brand of humor and personality into this heel run, rather than playing Generic Big Man #847. If all he’s going to do is be a villainous big man, then this won’t last for very long. But if he can distinguish himself, it could have legs.

For this week, we’ll give passing marks, but barely.
