5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 6 - Results & Review)

2. And Cody Says…

WWE Raw Cody Rhodes

After stepping aside for The Rock on SmackDown, one would have expected that Cody Rhodes would have something to say on Raw Monday night.

And he apparently did… but fans never got to hear it.

Rhodes came out at Seth Rollins’ request during the opening promo, but he was immediately cut off by Drew McIntyre, who verbally sparred with Rollins and even told Cody to stop trying to interject at one point. Things broke down and Drew attacked Seth, and Cody tossed McIntyre out of the ring. And that was it for the opening segment.

Cody would reappear for the main event, a bullrope match against Shinsuke Nakamura. As expected, Cody won that match cleanly, but he was immediately jumped by McIntyre to close out the show.

For fans looking for answers, they got none. No direction, no clarity, no explanation. Please tune in for the press conference on Thursday. It’s certainly a strategy, but Rhodes remaining mute on this seems like it could be a big mistake. The man made the biggest decision of his professional career (in storyline) and hasn’t given fans any answers.

He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
