5 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 7)

It legit sucks to give The Usos vs. New Day a 'Down'.

However, just how many times are WWE gonna rinse and repeat this match in quick succession? These teams fought before Day 1, at Day 1 and now after Day 1. Jeez, do you think that's enough? This is what happens when you outright fail to prepare any other teams in the division; The Viking Raiders, for example, are a joke.

This main event didn't feel like a proper 'Street Fight' either, and it was nowhere near as good as their recent pay-per-view scrap. In fact, it struggled to top the standard tag bout they had on TV right before Day 1. Being fair, it cannot be easy to come up with fresh spots or material when you've wrestled 18 million times.

Michael Cole called a match between both teams "their final showdown" back in October 2021. Yes, three f*cking months ago. Since then, they've wrestled countless times, but now WWE expects people to buy that this was their last match? No chance.
