5 Ups & 7 Downs For WWE Raw (8 Sept - Results & Review)

4. Bayley’s Struggles Continue

There is a very real chance that once the vignettes end and Bayley returns to WWE to portray this Jekyll-and-Hyde character in person, everything will click and it will all make sense. You’ve got to imagine that Two-Face doing a pre-taped interview wouldn’t work well, but the live portrayal works just fine.

Still, that doesn’t excuse another video that featured Bayley talking about not knowing what her next step is, while Hugger Bayley and Role Model Bayley argued as inner monologues. Bayley insisted that she’s a good person, but she doesn’t know if Lyra Valkyria will ever forgive her. After a lengthy back-and-forth between the voices, Bayley declared that she’ll “make it right” with Lyra.

The funny part about this is that the vignette aired just moments after AJ Lee spoke about her mental health struggles and how she had to go to therapy to get right, and then there was Bayley playing a character in need of her own mental health interventions, but it was being played for entertainment. Even Corey Graves made a light “joke” about Bayley needing to consult AJ for a therapist.

Poor timing there, and a silly concept. Get it back in person and see if it works. If it doesn’t, WWE needs to pivot or mercy kill this.
