Two years ago, the siblings of extreme (sorry, 'xtreme') were surreptitiously sheltered in a little caravan ahead of their surprise comeback in the WrestleMania 33's Raw tag-team title ladder match. The secrecy ensured a scorching reaction to their unexpected victory, creating a genuine WrestleMania moment which owed as much to Impact absence as it did actual excellence.

On SmackDown, The Hardyz repeated the trick, albeit in low-ley fashion, when they overcame perennial champs The Usos to add the blue straps to their ridiculously bulging trophy cabinet. That Raw reign in 2017 ultimately petered out under the demands of Matt's TNA transformation and an unfortunate injury for Jeff, and just a few months back, it looked as though the brothers were done for.

They've since managed to miraculously regenerate after a dip in the Lake of Restoration; inexplicably fitter than ever, the second attempt promises much more.

Though, of course, the whole moment was punctured by Lars Sullivan. Heat!

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
