Ups...

5. Ali Up

Fate sure did a number of poor Ali. Were it not for a sanitised industry which today demands wrestlers take a day off when their eye has swollen to resemble some sort of genetically modified grapefruit, he could have been celebrating as WWE Champion last night.

Instead, that nefarious Kofi Kingston stole his Elimination Chamber spot, and put in such a good performance that he only bloody went and bagged a WrestleMania Moment of Moments. Meanwhile, the ex-cop saw his equally organic push arrested as a John Doe in the pre-show Battle Royal. In which he did the sum total of nowt.

Good news for Ali is that it's only his forename, and not his career progress, which has been deleted. Last night, the former 205 Live regular paired with Aleister Black and Ricochet, and despite aligning with one of the most over teams in the company following their TakeOver exploits, it was Ali who earned the decisive fall.

The one-time Mustafa once more looked important - until he was RKOed a second later, anyway. Heat!

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
