5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2021

1. Lashley Poised

MVP Bobby Lashley
WWE

Ever since returning to WWE nearly three years ago, Bobby Lashley has largely underachieved, being wasted initially and only recently realizing his potential with the company.

Lashley’s turn with the Hurt Business during the last several months has helped improve his stock greatly, with his United States Championship run allowing him to look strong and dominant against various opponents. He’s been well-protected and looked more explosive than he has at any point on the roster.

And on Sunday, despite losing the US title (without being pinned in a triple threat), he closed the PPV out looking like he was earmarked for a world title match at WrestleMania. By essentially costing Drew McIntyre the WWE Championship, Lashley put himself in a position to either win the title himself or challenge Drew once he regains the strap from Miz.

Either way, Lashley is in a position to finally be in a world title program at WrestleMania 37, and he hasn’t looked better. Congrats to him, and here’s hoping the writers manage to not screw this one up.
