5 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 34

2. Elias

The show's most spectacular banter-merchant brought the biggest slab of banter at 2018's 'Show Of Shows' when Elias emerged from the darkness originally designed for 'The Deadman'.

It was a glorious subversion of the usual gag. Elias' interruptions were designed to get under the skin of the former 'Drifter' - turn months of frustration on the crowd was far more effective than Jason Jordan's veg-lobbing strategy.

An acoustic strum in place an iconic dong worked those in the arena and watching at home into a furied frenzy, and heel Elias absorbed immediate comeuppance from John Cena for daring to troll 'The Champ' and the fans still awaiting the The Undertaker's supposed return from retirement. In show more about moments than the matches that made them, this was one of the very best.
