5 Ups & 8 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Jan 8)

4. What's The Point?

Evil Uno Christopher Daniels
AEW

After the grand nightmare that was the 18 December closing angle, AEW needed to do something different with The Dark Order on their next live appearance. Unfortunately, they swung too far in the opposite direction.

The Dark Order were mauled here. Evil Uno tried to recruit Christopher Daniels with his corny-*ss delivery after the Sammy Guevara loss (which makes sense), indoctrinating CD with poisoned words, though his group was eventually beaten down by both SoCal Uncensored and The Young Bucks, with Daniels hitting his Best Moonsault Ever to close.

This went over like a fart in an elevator, with the crowd popping for Scorpio Sky's dive and little else. Things aren't clicking with The Dark Order. Presenting them as ineffective wet blankets after destroying the company's biggest stars in December won't help with that and, at this stage, they probably need repackaging.
