8. It’s A Trap!
When you talk about making people look stupid, having a babyface recognize a trap and then still get caught by it kinda falls in that category.
Edge welcomed Maryse to the Cutting Edge Monday night, letting her prattle on about how much she hated Miz for what he did last week and that she does everything for her family but never gets any thanks.
Thankfully, Edge saw through this ruse and called it out as BS, so he’s not a complete babyface idiot. But he still got overwhelmed by Miz (with Maryse’s help) and got laid out again. Once again, the hero fell victim to chicanery, despite seeing it coming.
It’s not a huge negative, but this just didn’t really do much – they can make the inevitable mixed tag match with the wives easily after Day 1 with Maryse interfering. They don’t need all this mindless fluff… except to fill time on a three-hour Raw.
