5 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE Raw (Dec 20)

2. The Best-Laid Plans…

Liv Morgan
WWE.com

Liv Morgan is an underdog, plain and simple. She’s never held a title in WWE and only recently gotten her first championship push. She needs a boost to feel like someone who can knock off one of the most successful women’s champions of the past decade.

So what does WWE do? Go out and win singles matches against other women to prove herself? No, they produce a video of Morgan trying to sneak attack Becky at her own gym, only to get duped by a lookalike and waylaid with her own kendo stick. She would manage to get a couple of licks with it before being chased off.

And then Liv shows the video on Raw and admits she got played by Becky, but tried to spin it as proof that Lynch is scared. Who writes this stuff??? Seriously, who thinks having Morgan show she got one-upped and only barely saved face is a good way to make her look like a threat against a wrestler who’s held a title every day she’s been active since WrestleMania 35?

Stop making Morgan look like a geek and pretending that the silver linings you force into the story is proof she’s not. You’re doing a huge disservice to her.
