5 Ups And 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 29)

Downs..

10. Sudden Stop

Have you ever slammed on your car€™s breaks when traveling at 60 mph (97 kph)? Everything€™s cruising along just great and then suddenly, everything is thrown into disarray.

That€™s what the #1 contender€™s match for the Divas Championship looked like Monday night. Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks were putting together a pretty nice little match €“ not a classic by any stretch, but a good, solid bout €“ trading pinfalls and reversing submission holds. They were just starting to bring out the big guns when Sasha hit a sunset bomb on Becky, but both women€™s shoulders were counted down for a double pin.

Now, a lot of fans have speculated that that is exactly what was going to happen, with a triple threat between Sasha, Becky and Charlotte at WrestleMania being a logical (and potentially awesome) conclusion. But that didn€™t mean that the ending needed to be stapled onto the middle of a match.

It felt like there was another third of the bout left, with both women hitting each other with their big offensive moves, wearing each other down until the double pinfall felt natural. (See the NXT #1 contender€™s match between Sami Zayn and Samoa Joe as a good example.)
