Hats off to Mia Yim and Allysin Kay for showing how two professionals can really deliver on a match.

The two, who have a rivalry stemming from a 2012 match where Mia broke Allysin’s nose, battled back and forth in a match that saw Kay deadlift Mia from an armbar attempt to a powerbomb, Yim turn a Gory Special into a Code Red, and some nice wrestling overall. Everything flowed better than the other matches, which featured younger performers battling seasoned vets.

But two veterans who know each other pretty well? That can lead to a pretty seamless match where the wrestlers lay into each other and turn out a crisper match. Yim kept going for submission holds, while Kay was downright creepy at times.

Ultimately Yim won this match, and hopefully, she’ll get another decent run in this tournament.
