5 Ups And 2 Downs From WCPW Loaded Episode 6
3. Down - Old Tropes
The last time I wrote about WCPW, I mentioned that I thought the WhatCulture personalities were taking priority over the wrestlers. This episode was much better in that regard, but there are still some issues with booking that mirror some of dead horses WWE has been beating for the past 15 years.
The first instance came when Joe Coffey burst into Adam Pacitti's office, complaining that Aron Stevens had gotten a title shot and demanding one for himself. Pacitti complied, but Coffey came off like a whiner.
Later in the show, Big Damo confronted Pacitti, angry that the match with Coffey was booked. He threatened Pacitti, but the WCPW GM got back in Damo's face, saying that he would strip him of the title and fire him if he did anything untoward. Damo was cowed and did as told, but it was kind of ridiculous seeing one of the most intimidating men in wrestling back down from a non-wrestler.
The McMahons have been forcing talent to do that for ages, and it always makes the actual wrestlers look bad.
