There was an air of classic WCW Cruiserweight action about Neville vs. Kalisto. In total, both men were only handed around 8 minutes to work with, but it's a credit to them that it felt like they could easily work for another 10-15 no problem. Kalisto as WWE United States Champion feels remarkably different to the likes of John Cena and Alberto Del Rio, especially when he has matches like this. Admittedly, the match-ending Salida Del Sol did look a little disjointed, but that's splitting hairs over what was a fine performance from both guys. The WWE hype surrounding Neville's Slammy Award win has already cooled, so it was really important that he hit a home run inside the ring on Smackdown. Cheerfully, he did, and hopefully this will lead to management giving these guys more minutes the next time. Neville would be a fine United States Title contender for Kalisto to face. Better yet, why not place them in something akin to a 'Best Of 7' series of matches? Fans would likely get a kick out of that, because the pressure would be on the pair to continually top themselves. For what it was, this bout was one of Smackdown's main highlights. What other 'ups' and 'downs' did you notice on Smackdown? What are you making of the show since it has moved to the USA Network?
