The rebuilding process for Rusev has been in effect ever since he left the League Of Nations. One minor blip was a televised loss to Sin Cara, but that's been rectified by having the Bulgarian crush Kalisto to become WWE United States Champion. He's since moved on to a feud against Titus O'Neil.

On one hand, that's not as thrilling as a rivalry with someone like John Cena, but at least it provides Rusev with a babyface to beat handily. Truthfully, Rusev vs. Titus is another match that could sit on a pay-per-view Kickoff show, WWE need to do a bit more to convince fans that O'Neil is a challenge to the champion.

On SmackDown, Rusev defeated Jack Swagger. The match itself was fine, although it could have been doing with more of a squash feel to make Rusev look dominant. Swagger managed to resist tapping out to the Accolade for a longer time than most are allowed, which didn't really make the move look too devastating.
