5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (May 26)

Ups...

5. Titus O'Neil Gets The Nod

Titus ONeil Rusev

Rusev's current character is a throwback to the anti-American one of old, it's like much of 2015 never happened for the man. That can't be considered a bad thing, he was booked so badly throughout much of the year that what he's doing now is a marked improvement. As WWE United States Champ, Rusev is back where he belongs.

After beating Kalisto on SmackDown, he started beating up The Lucha Dragon like any self-respecting heel should. Then, Titus O'Neil made the grand save, running down to confront Rusev and stop him kicking lumps out of Kalisto.

Following a spell on the sidelines through suspension, O'Neil is back in the mix. He's not a top guy, but he's popular enough with fans to justify a short program with Rusev. Perhaps the pair will collide for the belt on Monday Night Raw, leading to the return of John Cena and Rusev's next proper rivalry.
