5 Ups And 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Sept 24)

WWE desperately need to stop Charlotte coming across so insincere...

This past week's episode of Monday Night Raw directly followed on from Night Of Champions. At the tail end of the Pay-Per-View, Kane returned in his 'Demon' guise to add more problems for reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. On Raw, Rollins was confused when 'Corporate' Kane was seemingly back in the hot seat as Director Or Operations for The Authority. Smackdown promised to keep that particular story going, and also offered up a big tag-team match. The ongoing romance feud between Dolph Ziggler and Rusev has cooled off remarkably since Lana went down with injury, but Ziggler was set to team with Ryback to face Rusev and Kevin Owens. It was a nifty way to mix 2 different stories. That was all that was announced for Smackdown prior to the broadcast taking place, but below is the entire match card and results. Roman Reigns defeated Luke Harper via pinfall. The New Day defeated The Lucha Dragons and Neville via pinfall. Cesaro defeated Bo Dallas via pinfall. Dolph Ziggler and Ryback defeated Rusev and Kevin Owens via pinfall. Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins via pinfall. All in all, there were 5 matches on this week's edition of Smackdown. That wasn't all that made up the broadcast, as this article examines. The following points take into consideration 3 lows from the show, but also looks at 5 distinct positives.
