3. Mixed Bag Of Announcements For Next Week's 2.0
There's a decent amount of reasons to be excited about what is set to follow the latest slice of NXT mid-week special joy. As your writer will go into more detail on as this article unfolds, the main event looks to be a tantalising prospect. Pete Dunne and Tony D'Angelo will renew hostilities (with a Crowbar on a f***ing Pole match), Solo Sikoa and Boa look to settle their demonic differences, and the former Mei Ying, Wendy Choo, will make her sleepy bow in the squared-circle alongside Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell as the threesome take on Kacy Catanzaro, Kayden Carter, and Amari Miller.
But while those contests at least promise to be a touch intriguing, there were still a few other notable announcements that left your writer scratching his noggin.
Joe Gacy and Harland were quick to reveal that they would not like to just automatically be thrown into the 2022 Dusty Classic, like the other entitled units in the division, and would rather battle for their spot instead next week. Quite the babyface move for such a clearly unsettling unit, I think you'll agree.
And then there was the reveal of Elektra Lopez's allegiance being decided in a one-on-one rematch between Xyon Quinn and Santos Escobar. How refreshing and not at all vomit-inducing.
All in all, you can bet next week won't be boring, at the very least.
