5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Christmas Eve)

2. Women’s Tag Titles On The Way

It was tempting to fast-forward past the corny McMahon-ta Claus skit, but Vince had a genuine announcement to make.

No, it wasn’t that John Cena was coming back – though that’s a big deal. It was that there would be new women’s tag team titles coming in 2019. This had been teased a while back when Bayley & Sasha Banks suggested that they wanted those titles, but McMahon confirmed it on Monday.

The open question is whether these titles will be interbrand championships, and if so, will that include NXT?

Either way, this is great news for the women on the rosters, as there seems to be a whole lot of nothing for a lot of them to do half the time. This will give them something to fight for and could be a boon for the division.
