4. Sarray Is Coming Back.... As A School Girl?

Any other week, the reveal that a fiercely talented performer has been gifted a bizarre and wholly unnecessary gimmick change would be enough to leave you questioning why you watch this circus in the first place. This week, however, gave us TWO of these revelations.

The first soul-crushing reveal came in the form of Warrior of the Sun and Queen of the dropkick to the mug Sarray announcing that she'd taken some time off to recover mentally and physically from a disappointing 2021. Fair enough.

But not knowing when to call it quits, 2.0 then went and laced an odd school girl-aesthetic into Sarray's gimmick and had her confess that her grandma's necklace would help her come back and kick all the ass in NXT. What was once endearing has quickly devolved into the uncomfortable in another example of those in the back being grossly tone deaf when it comes to just about every black and gold era performer at their disposal.

Man, this sucked. But at least it might guarantee her some screen time... for better or worse with this new direction.
