5 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (August 6)

1. A Disheveled Advocate

Paul Heyman will never win an Academy Award for acting, but he turned on the waterworks Monday night for his sit-down interview with Renee Young.

The backstage interview was uncomfortable as hell – as it was supposed to be. The often-braggadocios Heyman sat with red, glassy eyes, not having shaved in a couple days, looking forlorn. He was lost, lamenting how he hasn’t spoken with Brock Lesnar since the Beast piefaced him to the mat last week and threatened his advocate.

Heyman also was self-aware, noting that Renee must have enjoyed the interview, watching him squirm uncomfortably. He observed that it was crazy that her asking if he was looking for a new client seemed unthinkable a week ago. Paul E. even encouraged Young to go ahead and move in for the kill with her questions at one point.

In the end though, he reaffirmed his belief that Brock will destroy Roman Reigns at SummerSlam in two weeks. Where all of this leads is up in the air, but Monday’s interview segment was really well done.
