5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Madison Square Garden 2015

The Beast annihilates in a largely forgettable show.

For all the hype leading up to Saturday€™s WWE live event at Madison Square Garden, the main attraction was more of a massacre than a Clash of the Titans. The company tried to portray Big Show versus Brock Lesnar as some huge, storied rivalry, despite Lesnar obliterating Show when they last faced at Royal Rumble 2014. They tried to make Show look like he was unstoppable by having him beat up lower-card wrestlers in the lead-up to Saturday. None of that mattered, as Lesnar did what many expected: shrug off the attack and destroy the giant in mere minutes. That doesn€™t mean it wasn€™t entertaining, but it does mean that the big selling point for the show was not nearly as epic as the billing suggested. With three title matches and no new champions crowned, and relatively short matches (by PPV standards), this was a largely forgettable show. Sure, it was Madison Square Garden, but if you don€™t care about that sort of thing, then it was just a televised house show. Still, there were some entertaining moments throughout, and if you were bored Saturday night, it wasn€™t a bad way to spend the evening. So what shined in the Big Apple and what got taken away with the trash? Let€™s find out€
