5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Madison Square Garden 2015

3. Trip Down Memory Lane

Say what you will about Chris Jericho returning to WWE seemingly just to lose matches, but his pre-match promo at Madison Square Garden was actually a pretty cool deal that made his appearance feel a little more special. Y2J took the mic and noted that October 3rd was his 25th anniversary as a professional wrestler. He told the story of his first match in 1990 in Alberta, Canada against Lance Storm, who was front row in attendance. Jericho then reminisced about his own history in MSG, how his father played hockey in the Garden with the New York Rangers, and other memories. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7o2MKKyLCg Sure, Jericho lost his Intercontinental Championship match against Kevin Owens, but his promo was a cool moment. The only thing that would€™ve topped it would have been Owens coming out and cutting into Jericho with his own promo.
