5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 11)

2. The Man Wants A Challenge

Becky Lynch opened Raw Monday night with a pre-match promo, noting that her challengers were getting tougher and more numerous, and she had a message for them:

Bring them on.

It was a good and simple message. Lynch has been Raw women’s champ for seven months now, and she’s run through numerous challengers, but since beating Sasha Banks at Hell in a Cell, she’s been sputtering and needs someone to face.

Cutting that promo, calling for people to step up, noting that “getting retribution is what makes me feel alive” and observing that she only fears not being the greatest was a good move, reminding people who she is and that she wants to face the best. After all, great champions are often measured by the quality of their challengers. And if Lynch doesn’t get to face top-notch contenders, then her reign – and her standing – will falter.

Now, WWE needs to deliver on their end.
