5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE TLC 2016

3. The Great Equalizer

David versus Goliath matches can be really entertaining if done well. Some big man/little man bouts are pretty memorable in the way the smaller competitor overcomes the size difference, while the bigger guy throws his opponent around.

Baron Corbin and Kalisto managed to have a decent little match, with steel chairs serving as the great equalizer for the luchador. Kalisto used the chairs to swing his way back into the match and knock Corbin down to size, but Baron’s power was on display too, catching a tope suicida and turning it into a Deep Six on the floor.

The announcers fawned over Kalisto’s performance, calling it a career-making one. This writer wouldn’t go that far, but there certainly is an opening for bookers to build off a loss like this and make Kalisto someone who can stand tall in the land of the giants.
