5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE TLC 2016

2. Wyatt Demolition

JBL might have been a little heavy on the Bruiser Brody & Stan Hansen comparisons, but Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton are pretty notable singles stars that have partnered up, making them a pretty formidable team.

That’s why it wasn’t surprising that the Wyatt Family basically steamrolled Cinderella team Heath Slater and Rhyno to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships in the opening match. Slater and Rhyno were a feel-good story for the fall, but Wyatt and Orton were way too much for them, especially with Luke Harper on the outside.

Now, the question will be: Will WWE use this powerhouse duo to help put over a new team down the line when they lose? (For example, will American Alpha rise in prominence by overcoming this team?) For now though, it’s a good move to put the tag titles on two big stars for the brand.
