While the concept of the fatal four-way matches were flawed, there were some good moments from them.

In the men’s match, the story was Kevin Owens, Finn Bálor and Bobby Lashley ganging up on Braun Strowman to try to take him down. They succeeded temporarily, knocking him out of the match for several minutes, and then hitting him with a series of near-falls.

But Braun was just too much, overcoming the offensive onslaught to eke out a win. And that’s a pretty good storyline, as three men nearly toppled Strowman, so with four more in the match on Sunday, it’s conceivable that they could take Braun out. Strowman could be stopped if everyone ganged up on him and hit him with everything.

On Monday, however, everything wasn’t enough, and Braun succeeded in defeating his three opponents. At least someone was booked smartly.
