UPS…

5. Women Hold Their Own

The Raw before WrestleMania often can be a play-it-safe affair, with wrestlers simply tying up loose ends in their feuds and reminding fans that they’re fighting in six nights at the biggest show of the year.

So when Raw opened with a tag match between the women in the fatal fourway elimination match for the Raw Women’s Championship, you would understand if the women simply went through the motions.

And while they didn’t go crazy, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax strung together a decent match to follow the overt foreshadowing that The Boss will backstab her buddy Bayley to become champ again.

The aftermath reminded everyone that Nia was the wildcard as someone with no loyalties and the ability to run roughshod over the match. Sure, she’s the least experienced and would be the last pick to emerge as champion, but it made sense going into Mania, painting her as the threat.
