4. McIntyre Tries For Hard Sell

You can’t blame Drew McIntyre for the lackluster build to his WWE Championship defense against Dolph Ziggler. The feud, while steeped in history, was iffy at best.

But the Scottish Psychopath brought his “A” game to Raw Monday night, delivering a fiery promo that really left no doubt who the winner would be at Extreme Rules. Drew called back to Ziggler’s past, noting that Dolph has used many of his former cohorts, including Mandy Rose, Big E (now that’s a callback) and McIntyre himself, to improve his standing.

McIntyre then shrugged off a suggestion he was going to make a snide comment and pledged to hurt Dolph, punched him out, and then told him he was screwed.

It was simple and strong. And while it doesn’t leave much to the imagination, McIntyre has held up his end of the deal.
