2. Joe Knows Who He Is

Of all the wrestlers on Raw, Samoa Joe might be the most complete character in terms of knowing himself.

Joe has a swagger to him that many others down, a man who vacillates between calm and smug to raging and screaming. He is confident, arrogant, clever and demeaning all at the same time. He showed this off during his Miz TV segment. Miz made the point that Rey Mysterio did the honorable, heartfelt thing and relinquished the United States Championship to Joe, and the Samoan laid him out nonetheless.

Joe’s response? “Yeah, and?” It was outstandingly perfect. He went on to get in Miz’s face before the segment broke down. During the match that ensued, Joe got tired of things and took his title and left. Corey Graves nailed it by noting that Joe had no allegiances to his teammates, as they were all looking to challenge him for his US title.

All of it was perfectly in keeping with Joe’s character, and that deserves praise here.
