5 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Mar 2)

1. Fumbling A Top Feud

Becky Lynch

Man, what is wrong with WWE’s writers when it comes to Becky Lynch? They have a pretty easy, straightforward angle: Lynch has beaten everyone put in front of her for a year. Shayna Baszler showed up and literally bit her like a rabid dog, setting the table for a title match between the two.

But Monday, we had Shayna competing in a really dull match against Kairi Sane, while Becky interrupted the match to join commentary – in a bright yellow-feathered long coat. She didn’t say anything of consequence and merely stood on the commentary desk afterward to hold up the title.

The Man normally would have just stalked the ring and either caused a huge distraction or a DQ to get her revenge rather than dressing like that and parading around. Further, Baszler didn’t exactly impress, and she has to go through an Elimination Chamber match that features the former members of the Riott Squad (who had a boring match earlier), Natalya and Asuka. Only Asuka feels like a real threat here.

This just felt like it fell flat instead of being a top feud heading into the biggest show of the year. Prove this wrong, WWE.
