2. The Jinder Era Continues

We knew going into this Jinder Mahal WWE Championship reign that we weren’t going to get four-star matches, but did anyone predict we’d have the Indian Honky Tonk Man on our hands?

Seriously, Jinder has managed to turn “escaping with the title” into an art form, with the Singh Brothers becoming increasingly involved in his title matches, to the point where they might as well be booked as handicapped bouts. And now, it looks like the Great Khali has joined Mahal’s stable, adding another heavy to the fold.

Mahal also chose such a dull stipulation that the Philly crowd chanted for CM Punk and urged WWE to “Trust the process,” a reference to a failed basketball GM in the city who asked fans to trust his process that constantly produced poor results on the court and in the standings. Sounds a lot like Jinder’s reign.
