5 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 10)

1. Rollins Calls For A Reset?

Seth Rollins’ promo with Baron Corbin did exactly what he set out to do: spit some truth.

Rollins laid into the acting GM for being a useless sack of crap, calling out a lot of questionable content on Raw the past several weeks, laying it all at Corbin’s feet. He specifically called out pitting The Revival against Lucha House Party for nearly a month straight, bemoaning that they should be competing for the Raw Tag Team Championships instead.

The Intercontinental Champion also pointed to “segments with urination,” a reference to Drake Maverick soiling Bobby Roode’s robe a couple weeks back during an abysmal episode. Rollins also referenced Baron being in numerous segments with running buddies Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.

It felt like Rollins was serving as the voice of reason, the acknowledgment from the writers that the crap they’ve been putting on TV hasn’t been up to snuff. It seemed as if the writers, through Rollins, were admitting their mistakes.

Whether that leads to any real, lasting changes remains to be seen. But Raw has seen its ratings slide so far south that something has to change.
